Model Undercover: A Crime Of Fashion by Carina Axelsson

Hi readers! I am doing a new review series on the Model Undercover books! Here is the first one......

A bit about the author
Carina Axelsson is a former fashion model. She has been in Elle and Vouge. She likes scooby doo and Agatha Christie which helped her write this brilliant series.

THE BOOK
Axelle (pronounced Excel) is unlike most teenage girls. She prefers to solve mysteries rather than look in Vouge or do make up but, due to her mother and an unfortunate incident (I am not telling any more!), her parents are sending her to Paris to be her aunts assistant for Paris Fashion week, as a punishment! She has to go undercover as a model to find the missing fashion designer Belle La Lune, even though that means, she has to be covered in make up and walk on sky high heels. With her distractingly gorgeous assistant, Sebastian, will she find the missing designer?

What I think about the book
I absolutely loved this book! It is brilliant for teenage girls who love fashion AND mysteries. Like Ruby Redfort it has a thrilling story line. It is quite thick but I couldn't put it down!

I think this book is good for 13+.

My rating 4 out of 5 as it is quite long so girls who don't enjoy reading might not want to read it.

I hope you will read this book!

The Diamond Horse

Hi readers! Long time no see! Today I am reviewing one of Stacy Gregg's newer books, The Diamond Horse.
The main characters
Anna Orlov, Count Orlov (Anna's father), Ivan Orlov (Anna's mean brother), Countess Orlov (Anna's mother), Katia(The head maid) and Valentina (A circus performer).

The story line
Anna Orlov lives in a beautiful palace, home to many wonderful and exotic animals like tigers, bears and timber wolves. It is also home her cruel older brother, Ivan. When Anna doesn't do what her father wishes, after her mother dies, she has no idea of the dangers ahead.

Valentina is a circus performer with a pink horse and very big dreams. As she runs away to a dressage school she discovers another world of amazing horse riding.

What I think of the book
I loved this book and couldn't put it down until I had read the whole thing! It has a great story line and a brilliant variety of characters with many different personalities. I also liked that it is inspired by real life stories. Stacy Gregg's books have always been some of my favorites and I love reading them.
I rate this book 5 out of 5 as it is quite long and is a gripping read.
I would recommend this book to girls around 9 up as it is an amazing book and as I said, I couldn't put it down!

I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did!

Nathalia Buttface and the embarrassing camp catastrophe By Nigel Smith

Hi readers! Today I am reviewing the fifth book in the Nathalia Buttface series by Nigel Smith.

Nathalia Buttface real name is Nathalia Bumole (It's french and is pronouced bew-mol-ay) and her friend Darius has nicknamed her Buttface. Her dad Ivor Bumole is totally embarrassing and when he says he is going with her class on camp it is more than Nathalia can handle.
Whats even worse is that one of the camp owners Mr Bungee pretends that there is a woodland sprite called the Green Bogey and Nathalia's dad is given the "green bogey" hat and wears it everywhere embarrassing Nathalia even more than she thought he could!
Then Nathalia discovers that her class have to do a geography presentation against a posh school. Could Nathalia's life get any worse?

I really recommend this book for 9+ as it is really funny. If a parent read it to them it would also be great for 6+ as it is so funny.

Pony club secrets: Nightstorm and the Grand Slam

Hi readers, I absolutely love this book so I thought it would be a good one to share with you.

The Pony club secrets series is written by Stacy Gregg who also wrote the Pony club rivals series. Nightstorm and the grand slam is the last one in the series so I figure I should do the other ones as well! Issie is entered into Badminton and Burghley, two prestigious horse trials, in the aim to win the Grand Slam. But disaster strikes when Nightstorm gets colic and Victory gets sold. Will she do it?

RUBY REDFORT PICK YOUR POISON

Hi readers, I haven't done a review for ages and I have been busy with my guinea pig blog a lot recently so I thought it was time to do a book one for a change.
Todays book is Ruby Redfort Pick your poison by Lauren Child author of Charlie and Lola and Clarice Bean. I have done all the other books in the Ruby Redfort series and this is the second to last one so there won't be many more reviews on the Ruby Redfort series :( .

This is a really good book and the characters are just as good as always. The story line is like this(but I'm not giving too much away) Ruby and her friend Clancy Crew are in the sights of a villain Baby face and at HQ Ruby isn't sure who are her friends or who are her enemies. An Explorer gets poisoned and almost doesn't survive. Who is going to survive? A brilliant read for older children around 11+.
I give Ruby Redfort pick your poison 10 out of 10 because I couldn't put it down!!

I hope you try this amazing book,

Book Worm :)

The Dotty Dalmation

Hi readers, I recently read this hilarious book by Anna Wilson and I thought it would be a good review for younger children(or older!!). I have previously done a review on one of Anna Wilsons other book, The Smug Pug(have you noticed they're both dogs?).
This is an hilarious book for younger children and has calamity and a good ending (what's not too like?).
When Mrs Fudge needs a new assistant and Pippa isn't very pleased, and who's breaking into peoples houses? Who owns the big spotty dog running through the town of Crumbly under edge? I loved it and I'm sure you will too.
I rate this book 9 out of 10 as it is a good book for younger children. I read really fast so I read it in a day but it is still a good book.

I hope you try it,

Book Worm :)

The wedding planners daughter and The wedding planners daughter from the heart

Hi readers, it's been ages since a last did a book review so I decided it was about time I did a post and this one is a double review for 2 in the same series.

The Wedding Planner's Daughter
Number one in The wedding planners daughter series, so obviously you should start with this one. The author is Coleen Murtagh Paratore. The main characters are: Willa Havisham, Stella Havisham, Tina Belle, Nana and Sam Gracemore. The storyline is quite complicated but here's a bit of an idea of how it goes; Willa lives in the seaside town of Bramble in Cape, USA and she has a great friend in the form of Tina. I don't want to give to much away but there's a few weddings and that means a wedding disaster at some point.

I rate this book 10 out of 10 because I love the storyline and the ending.

The Wedding Planner's Daughter from the heart
Number three in this series it's a brilliant book. The main characters are the same as in the first book  . The storyline is a bit easier than the first book.Willa gets to plan a wedding for her Aunt Ruthie and her fiancé Spruce. Bird problems on Bramble beach and how is Willa going to do everything and what about the stray dog that Willa really wants?

I rate this book 10 out of 10 as well as I love all these books and the storyline is brilliant.

I hope you will try these books,

Book Worm :)
